# Marketplace Overview

**BirthMark is a curated, primary sales marketplace for tattoo NFTs.** When artists mint their tattoos on the platform, they make their first sale on BirthMark marketplace. Once a sale happens, tattoo NFT is transferred to collector’s wallet and can be traded on secondary marketplaces.
